2. Desmond Ridder will start in the first half of this season

The same defense that was picked apart by Joe Flacco two weeks ago made Marcus Mariota look clueless as if he were a high school quarterback taking on an SEC defense. After two great drives to start the game Mariota looked lost and was unable to find his way out of an ugly second half, it was the defense and the rushing attack that bailed Mariota out.

Even with the defense and running backs stepping up Mariota still found a way to almost botching this game fumbling a snap he recovered and flung out of bounds on what could have been a game-winning play for Cleveland.

Mariota finished this game with an interception and completed 7/19 passes and just barely made it over 100-passing yards the bulk of which happened on one throw to Olamide and the first drive of the game. Mariota is a disaster waiting to happen and Atlanta cannot continue to ride the roller coaster with Ridder on the bench.
