Mykal Walker – LB

Mykal Walker, in limited snaps, had an outstanding rookie season for the Atlanta Falcons in 2020. In 2021, he took a small step back, and now in 2022, he has been up and down, but mostly down.

Things are not over for Walker by any means. He continues to be the starter alongside Rashaan Evans each week, so there is a strong level of trust by the coaches, but that does not cover up the fact that he has seen Troy Anderson take his place partway through each game.

The lack of physicality is what gets Walker in trouble. He looks overmatched much of the time. He isn’t the biggest linebacker but he can still play much better than he has this year.

The good news for him, he will get the opportunity to prove himself each week. That is all you can ask for if you are him.
