3. Start playing fearless offense with Desmond Ridder in the lineup

All season long it hasn’t been hard to see the conservative fear with which Arthur Smith has called this offense. Each week trying to do just enough to keep the game close or hold onto a slim lead not making the killer mistake of taking the risk that would lose the team the game. This all stems from Smith’s lack of trust in Mariota and Mariota’s inability to run anything aside from a college offense.

Ridder might not be better he could be a complete mess as a rookie. However, Smith owes it to Ridder and this team now that they are out of contention to take the restrictions away. Give Ridder the full and offense and give him a chance to run a full NFL-level offense.

Give Drake London and Olamide Zaccheaus a chance to run the route tree and find out what you have in them as complete players.  London has been limited by Mariota and the style of offense in which the Falcons have run. Take the limits away from this offense with only four games left and find out what they are capable of.
