Erik Harris – S

Remember back to this time a year ago when Erik Harris was a starting safety for the Falcons? Those days are long gone as they have made the switch to the younger safeties this season which was certainly the correct move.

Going into the season it was expected that Harris might play every so often even if he wasn’t the starter but instead he has played in three games, only one of which he had more than two snaps in. Basically, all of his action came in week two when he played 30 snaps against the Rams.

It is a good sign he hasn’t been on the field much because that means that Jaylinn Hawkins and Richie Grant have made strides in 2022. Harris was never going to be the future at the position, so don’t be surprised if he never takes the field for Atlanta again.
