Ade Ogundeji – OLB

When was the last time you heard Ade’s name mentioned while watching a Falcons game? Chances are you cannot recall the last time.

That is not a good sign for a player who has been the starter all year. He has played at least 40% of the snaps on defense in all but one game this year and hasn’t managed to record a sack since week two against the Rams. Again, this is one of the Falcons’ starting pass rushers, and he has one sack in 12 games this season.

What’s more? He has 35 tackles, two tackles for loss, and zero quarterback hits. As a rookie, his stats were better and he actually managed to show some potential.

I will continue to repeat myself, but there is no reason that he should be starting over Arnold Ebiketie. Ebiketie is the better run defender and pass rusher.
