Three AFC teams with situations that the Atlanta Falcons are glad they aren’t in

It hasn’t been the smoothest year for the Atlanta Falcons and their fans. They have been an up-and-down team with inconsistent play on both sides of the ball. The good news, they are a team that has the assets during the offseason to improve significantly.

That is more than a lot of teams can say. The truth is that the Falcons could be in a much worse situation than they are now. They have draft capital, they have a lot of money to spend over the offseason, they aren’t on the hook for many big contracts in the future, they are young, and they have talent.

Those are the five things you want when building for the future. It seems like yesterday this was a team that was old and broke every year but Terry Fontenot has fixed that quickly.
