Three teams in the AFC the Atlanta Falcons are glad they aren’t
Tennessee Titans
Not too long ago, the Atlanta Falcons fleeced their head coach’s former team when they sent Julio Jones off to join Mike Vrabel’s club for a second-round pick. That trade blew up in the Titans’ faces as they released him after a disappointing season.
However, that is not why they are on here, they are on here because they have a roster that is relying almost exclusively on one player—Derrick Henry. They have been up and down this year and have been stumbling recently.
Ryan Tannehill isn’t their long-term answer at QB and Malik Willis struggled while on the field. Much of that is due to him having the worst receiving core in the league, which just adds to the argument. They are projected to be in the negative with cap space, so there isn’t a quick fix to bring in more talent.
Throw in the decision to trade A.J. Brown because they didn’t want to pay him, only to watch him torch their defense which resulted in their general manager getting fired. It was quite the situation.
I will say though, Mike Vrabel is an excellent coach who can fight through this, not to mention, they play in a weak division and have some great players on defense.
