The Atlanta Falcons season has been strange, especially when you consider individual performances. Try and point out three players who definitely should make the Pro Bowl on the team, it isn’t as easy as usual.

Unsurprisingly, only one Falcons player has made it to the popularity contest that will take place in just over a month. He really is the only player on the team that clearly deserved to make the Pro Bowl.

Chris Lindstrom is the lone Atlanta Falcons player going to the Pro Bowl

Last year, it seemed like there were a few Atlanta Falcons snubbed from the Pro Bowl. Certainly, Chris Lindstrom, A.J. Terrell, and probably Cordarrelle Patterson. However, this year is a much different story as Lindstrom is really the only player who unequivocally deserved to make it.

Lindstrom has been the best at his position this season, no doubt about it. Despite that, he might be lucky to have even made it. It isn’t like the Falcons are the most well-respected team and the offensive line isn’t a position that you can look at stats to determine who should make it. Much of it is based on if the fans recognize the name or not.

Lindstrom will join Zack Martin of the Cowboys and Landon Dickerson of the Eagles. Unfortunately, he won’t be the starter at offensive guard.

Funny enough, each NFC South team only has one player making it. OT Tristan Wirfs will represent the Buccaneers, LB Demario Davis will represent the Saints, and OLB Brian Burns will represent the Panthers.

There really isn’t much for us to argue about with this year’s Pro Bowl, certainly not like last year when A.J. Terrell somehow didn’t make it.

Something worth noting is it stands to reason that fewer players will opt out of the Pro Bowl this year due to a rule change that prevents you from being recognized as a Pro Bowler if you do opt-out. Not to mention, the Pro Bowl game has been disbanded which will entice more players to make the trip to Las Vegas.

Before concluding this article, I just want to point out, who would have guessed prior to the season that the NFC’s quarterbacks in the Pro Bowl would be Jalen Hurts, Geno Smith, and Kirk Cousins?
