5. The Atlanta Falcons can win the NFC South in 2023

If the 2022 season taught us anything about the NFC South as a whole it is how dysfunctional and lost the division is. The Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons should both be division favorites as long as Tom Brady leaves Tampa Bay as he is expected to. New Orleans and Tampa Bay are both old teams now that are heading into their off-seasons with negative cap space and yet no clear answer at quarterback.

While the Panthers and Falcons lack clarity at the position as well they have the draft picks and cap space to make moves to improve. It is hard to see what the Saints or Bucs can do that would change this. It should be a two-team race next season with the winner determined by who finds the right guy for the most important position on the field.

The Falcons had a chance to steal the division in a rebuilding 2022 season, next year they can position themselves to be favorites for what should remain the easiest division in football.
