Three free agents the Atlanta Falcons will certainly target in March

Now that the Falcons season is over, we can shift our focus to free agency and the draft. There is plenty to talk about regarding those two events, especially since Atlanta is projected to have a lot of cap space.

In fact, they will likely have the second-most cap space in the NFL with only the Bears ahead of them. It has been quite some time since this team has had money to spend. Thomas Dimitroff, the team’s general manager prior to Terry Fontenot, wasn’t known to save money and it took a couple years for the team to recover from that.

We can expect Atlanta to be interested in some top-tier free agents. Some of those players have connections to staff members within the Falcons’ organization. Here we will connect the dots and single out three players that this team will surely be interested in. Whether they end up signing them or not, is a different story.

It is projected that the Atlanta Falcons will have over $70 million to spend. Obviously, they will delegate some of that money to their draft class, resigning their own free agents, and leave some for next year.
