Brian Flores – Current Pittsburgh Steelers senior defensive assistant

Brian Flores was unfairly ousted as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins after two-straight winning seasons. We all know how he ended up suing the NFL but that should have absolutely no effect on a potential hire.

In 2019, Flores’ first year with the Dolphins, they ranked dead last in points allowed, but he was able to turn them around as they allowed the sixth-fewest points and then were ranked 16th in his final season in Florida.

He went on to become a senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers who ranked 11th in points allowed this season.

He has a lot of experience in leading good defenses and there is no reason for the Falcons to not at least interview him. He proved he can take a bad defense and turn it into one of the best fairly quickly.
