4. Drake London’s ball security

Drake London was great in his rookie year considering the fact that he was only the only reliable receiver at the end of the year in a run-heavy offense. London and Zaccheaus were the only receivers the Falcons consistently relied on and London was clearly the primary option even when Kyle Pitts was healthy.

Playing in an offense that wants to run the ball and dealt with a limited quarterback in Mariota for much of the season London’s rookie numbers are far better than they appear. The one issue for London that must improve in the 2023 season is ball security.

More than once Drake London fumbled on key possessions that changed the complexion of games. While the rookie was very impressive overall the fumbles are a concern and should be stressed this off-season as something that must be improved. How London carries the football isn’t going to work at this level ball security must be stressed to the young receiver this off-season or it will be an issue for the Atlanta offense moving forward.
