. . Hendon Hooker. 8. player. 839.

8. Hendon Hooker – Tennessee Volunteers (Draft)

Hendon Hooker is a player to keep an eye out for the Atlanta Falcons in a later round. He is a big quarterback who has great arm talent. He transcended the Vols into a playoff contender before they sputtered. He didn’t turn the ball over and he also has that athletic trait that I keep coming back to.

The reason for him not being higher is that even if the Falcons were to draft him, he might sit on the bench and develop for some time. Much of that is due to him playing in a unique offense in college.

. . . Anthony Richardson. 7. player. 840

7. Anthony Richardson – Florida Gators (Draft)

You can probably sum up Anthony Richardson by saying that he will either be really good or really bad at the pro level. His talent is undeniable but so are his struggles. The Falcons, if they want the Gator QB, would be smart to trade back a few picks to take him or hope he is there in the second round. Bargaining an eighth-overall pick on Richardson might be a little too rich.

Much like Hendon Hooker, Richardson, even if he goes to Atlanta, might have to sit on the bench for some time.

36. . . . Geno Smith. 6. player

6. Geno Smith – Seattle Seahawks (Free agency)

Where in the heck did this Geno Smith come from? Out of nowhere, Smith became the most accurate passer in the NFL and led a Seahawks team, that was predicted to go nowhere, to the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see if he stays in Washington. If not, then the Falcons might test the waters. He would definitely upgrade the passing offense but there are still questions about him being a one-hit-wonder.
