4. Use Kyle Pitts as the elite weapon the tight end is capable of being

Kyle Pitts was underutilized before his season-ending injury and failed to make the impact he was capable of. With Matt Ryan Pitts was over 1,000 yards despite spending the majority of his rookie season as the primary receiver. That accomplishment as a rookie cannot be overlooked.

The problem was Marcus Mariota and the inability to ever complete basic passes to Pitts. Kyle was often overthrown or missed completely. The separation and ability to create space didn’t suddenly leave the second year tight-end.

Depending on Kyle’s health and how quickly he can get back up to speed Atlanta’s focus should be on putting Kyle back in focus as he was in the 2021 season. Desmond Ridder is a far better thrower of the football than Mariota and isn’t going to miss the easy passes to Kyle.

Arthur Smith needs to build a gameplan early on to help build chemistry between Ridder and Pitts and allow the tight-end to be the game wrecker he is capable of being.
