2. Hayden Hurst

Bringing back another former Atlanta pass catcher wouldn’t be a bad move for the Falcons to set up Desmond Ridder for success. Signing Hurst, Jones, and another option at receiver would allow the team to fill out the depth chart affordably and still be able to draft a receiver in the first four rounds. The Falcons need to give Ridder every chance for success with their current cap space and Hurst is a push in that direction.

The one potential pitfall of this move is the fact that Hayden was underutilized during his final season in Atlanta. Despite the new quarterback and playcalling, there is a chance that Hurst holds this against Atlanta and is unwilling to return so soon.

Also worth noting is the late chemistry that Hurst showed with Joe Burrow despite being the 4th or 5th option in Cincy. It is a reunion that while unlikely makes a measure of sense for both sides.
