1. Carolina Panthers

Last year it was a race in the NFC South for Deshaun Watson between the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and Carolina Panthers. Ultimately, they all lost but this offseason it could be a fight between the Falcons and Panthers for Lamar Jackson.

The Panthers have been searching for a quarterback since Cam Newton became ineffective. It has resulted in them starting guys like P.J. Walker and Sam Darnold. Their relatively new owner is looking to make a splash to fill the hole that has been plaguing them for years now.

They are over the cap but if they really want to pay Lamar, they can find a way to do so and they have plenty of draft capital to secure his rights. I don’t envision them being too aggressive for Lamar but at the very least, they will want to drive the price up on the Falcons.
