Roddy White and FanDuel are welcoming fans to LikeMinds Sports Bar on Sunday from noon to 1:30 p.m. ET to meet the former Falcon, get items signed, and compete in a longest drive golf competition to win prizes. Along with that, there is a watch party for the Atlanta Falcons' Week 8 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

They will also discuss the legalization of sports betting in Georgia.

The event will also highlight the benefits that legal, regulated sports betting could bring to Georgia, including stronger consumer protections, responsible gaming tools and tax revenue that could support important state priorities.

White also discussed everything about the Falcons and their impact on his life and the future of the franchise, including the job Matt Ryan has done since taking office.

Roddy White discusses the importance of the Falcons in his life

Drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, White spent his entire 11-year career with the Dirty Birds. He finished with 808 receptions for 10,863 yards and 63 touchdowns. Since his final season in 2015, the South Carolina native has stuck around the Atlanta area.

He specifically highlighted the support system the team has given him, on and off the field. He is still a big fan of the team each and every week.

His former quarterback, Matt Ryan, has given him access to the team. He enjoys having fun with them and being in contact with them any form or fashion.

What has Roddy White noticed about the Falcons under Matt Ryan?

Roddy pointed to one trait that Ryan brings to the Falcons... again: work ethic. He has loved his management of the cap space and roster (specifically shouting out the Jahan Dotson addition and defensive line changes). He has seen him handle the pressure of the new position.

"It's a very challenged job, just having everything that you have to do on a day-to-day basis," White said. "He's always going to be a guy that's always in as far as being on the field, watching, paying attention, the players and seeing where they are at, because he's done it before."

He mentioned that his knowledge of the grind helps them get better each week. He shows up each day and helps players become the best they can be, both on and off the field.

Something else that sticks out is the accountability he brings, saying he is a "real own your job type of guy," and won't let players sit around and do what they shouldn't be doing.

Roddy White sees what Drake London and Michael Penix Jr. offer this Atlanta offense

The first thing fans learn about London is his tenacity; as we saw after Malik Mustapha hit him in the head on Sunday, the top receiver isn't afraid to show emotion -- something White also did for the offense.

But he also sees the current No. 1 as a confident, physical, and chain-moving receiver.

As for Michael Penix Jr., whom White called a "franchise quarterback," he appreciates his consistency and other things.

"I think he is going to be one of the better ones in the league," White said. "I think he's going to be one of the better ones in the league here soon. I'm a very big fan of what he brings to the table. He can make each and every throw."

He has appreciated watching the coaching staff call boots and under-center plays and cater the offense to the strengths of their quarterback.

He went on to talk about Ryan's impact on the third-year quarterback. Ryan has helped him take snaps under center and continues to be around for him whenever he needs.

He claps back at the media who's discrediting the Falcons' win over 49ers

The Falcons beat the 6-0 San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Normally, you would think it would boost feelings about the winning team, but too many members have discredited them because of the 49ers injuries.

Among those was Emmanuel Acho, who said this loss meant little to the visiting team. White responded strongly to the clip on X.

He went more in-depth on why he believes these excuses are not valid.

"San Francisco has had multiple injuries since the beginning of the season and they've still found ways to win football games," White said. "They went out and they beat Seattle, they went out and beat the Rams, which are two of the teams that are picked to win (the Super Bowl)."

He then talked about the double standard analysts have had.

"They had injuries and nobody complained about anything," he said about the 49ers' wins over top-tier teams. "They're just, 'Oh, this team's so good, they find ways to win.' And then when it gets to the Falcons, 'Oh, it's the most meaningless win,' ... everybody knows better. Every Sunday when you go out on the field, especially if you're playing in this league, you want to win football games. There are no moral victories."

He believes the way the Falcons beat their undefeated opponent says a lot about the team. He watched them win by scoring a lot of points and not kicking field goals, against relatively healthy defense. They also forced multiple turnovers against a ball-secure team.

Roddy White knows the Falcons pack Mercedes-Benz Stadium to win

A lot has been said about the Falcons' home stadium being packed with Bears and 49ers fans over the past two games. It has been rough to see this fanbase fail to show up.

However, White believes this is a fanbase that will show up if the team is winning. He talked about how discouraged the fanbase can get with losing, leading to a road-team-filled stadium

There was something former head coach Mike Smith used to tell the team leading up to the season.

“When I was there, Coach Smith would always tell us, "Hey, you win all your home games and then you split the road games." That was his mentality, like we do not lose at home. So, I'm happy we got off of that skid and we beat a really good team, which now, the fan base will have more trust."

Hopefully, beating a 6-0 team in convincing fashion will help keep Penix Jr. and his offense from running a silent count on their own turf.

But we won't know the answer to that for a couple of weeks with the team traveling to Tampa Bay on Sunday -- a game fans can enjoy at the watch party at LikeMinds Sports Bar -- and Madrid against the Cincinnati Bengals, which is scheduled as a home game.

The game in Atlanta will be on Nov. 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
