NFL Draft 2015: Falcons Select Vic Beasley No. 8 Overall
The pick is in. The Atlanta Falcons have selected Vic Beasley with the No. 8 selection of the 2015 NFL Draft. Is this the right move for the Falcons?
Beasley is an ideal fit for the Falcons. He is arguably the best pure pass rusher in the draft, and will be a huge boost to the pass defense that ranked 32nd last season.
Atlanta is looking to build on their roster after finishing 6-10 in 2014. Does this pick give them a chance of reaching the playoffs in 2015?
It’s crucial for GM Thomas Dimitroff to get this pick right, especially selecting so early in the draft.
The Falcons struggled last year, but still found themselves within a Week 17 victory of the playoffs. As it happened, they lost to Carolina and ended up with the eighth overall pick.
