The Atlanta Falcons have placed kicker Matt Bryant on season-ending injured reserve.

There is bad news for Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant, who has been placed on injured reserve with a right quad injury. Defensive tackle Paul Soliai is out of Sunday’s game with the Carolina Panthers with a calf injury.

Other than that, the Falcons look in pretty good shape health wise. S Ricardo Allen, G Chris Chester, WR Devin Hester, S Kemal Ishmael, WR Julio Jones, TE Tony Moeaki and TE Jacob Tamme are all listed as probable for Sunday’s game, which is good news.

Jones appeared on the injury report this week with a knee issue. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but returned fully on Friday.

Bryant will sit out for the remainder of the season, and his future with the Falcons must be in doubt. Bryant had a few uncharacteristic misses this season, and will be 41-years-old at the start of next season. Though only through two games, Shayne Graham has played excellently in relief.

Carolina Panthers: CB Charles Tillman and WR Brenton Bersin are doubtful. DE Mario Addison is probable with an ankle injury. The following players are listed as probable, but were on the injury report for rest and were not injury related: DE Jared Allen, WR Jerricho Cotchery, LB Thomas Davis, DT Dwan Edwards, WR Ted Ginn, S Roman Harper, C Ryan Kalil, TE Greg Olsen, RB Jonathan Stewart.
