#4 Tackling
It is no secret the Falcons have been a poor tackling team over the last few seasons. A good tackling defense goes a very long way in the NFL. Missed tackles leads to big plays which in turn leads to scores.
Sound tackling prevents those big plays, and it makes the offense work hard for every single yard. That leads to more opportunities for mistakes, whether it’s eventually a turnover or penalties.
The Falcons so far seem to be improved, with the exception of one run by the Texans’ Jonathan Grimes. I’m looking to see if that good tackling will continue. The Titans have some slippery players who excel in space so it will be a good test.
