With the loss of Justin Blalock, we need a long term left guard.  We could theoretically go a couple of different routes here with drafting another DE or 1 tech DT.  Even possibly drafting a WR here isn’t he worse idea. However, we also want to have the best options of talent on this squad and having a 10 year starter next to Jake Matthews is what we need.  Ali Marpet is very similar to Joel Bitonio only Marpet played at little known Hobart and William Smith College. Bitonio played for Kyle Shanahan and became an instant starter with the Cleveland Browns last year and the same principle is what I want for Ali Marpet. He has the size and athleticism to be the perfect guard in a ZBS system.
