The Atlanta Falcons have been predicted to shine under new coach Dan Quinn. According to NFL Media research, an average of five new teams have made the playoffs for each year of the past decade. Could the Falcons be one of the five this upcoming season?

"“Still months away from the start of training camp for the 2015 season, NFL fans have likely already started making playoff predictions regarding their favorite team.According to NFL Media research, every year since 1990, when the league adopted the 12-team format, the playoffs have included four new teams. During the past 10 seasons, that average climbed to more than five new teams per season.”"

Would running back Melvin Gordon be a good fit for the Falcons? Scott Carasik of Bleacher Report takes an in-depth look:

"“The Falcons are moving to a zone scheme with new offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and should be a great scheme fit for the talented Wisconsin running back. Shanahan would love how Gordon is built and would love his similarities to another back his dad coached named Terrell Davis.”"

Could the Falcons make a trade as early as the first-round? Charles Davis of NFL.com wrote that the Falcons trading with the Jacksonville Jaguars to draft defensive lineman Leonard Williams is a move he wants to see.

"“Atlanta desperately needs help on defense. The team’s screaming need is at edge rusher, and while Williams is an interior defensive lineman, he’s also the best player in the draft. You don’t turn that down if Jacksonville is willing to make a deal.”"

Could such a move happen? Luke Sims of Black and Teal breaks it down.

"“Jacksonville appears to be more than willing to make a deal. With plenty of talent available at positions of need (especially pass rusher) in the first round, the Jaguars have openly said they would not mind trading out of their current spot. This deal may be most beneficial for the Falcons, however, as they get what they want while the Jaguars fall back for whomever slips down to eight overall.”"
