Gurley in Top 10 would be one of ‘dumbest picks in history’

Some reports suggest Todd Gurley could be selected in the top ten overall picks next week. This would bring Atlanta into play. Chris Simms of Bleacher Report believes it would be one of the ‘dumbest picks in history’. Simms discusses with Adam Lefkoe.

Ameer Abdullah to Atlanta?

On the topic of running backs, would Ameer Abdullah fit well in the Falcons’ system? And would he be worthy of a pick on day two? Scott Carasik of Bleacher Report takes a look:

"“Abdullah‘s talent level is near the top of the draft for all running backs, and he has been compared to Ray Rice, Maurice Jones-Drew and even Warrick Dunn. The Falcons would do well with the selection of Abdullahand could have a great team with him starting at tailback.”"

Leonard Williams has respect for Dan Quinn

Arguably the most talented player in this year’s draft is defensive tackle Leonard Williams. Williams met with the Falcons last week, and had high praise for new head coach Dan Quinn. Vaughn McClure of ESPN writes:

"“Could Williams end up with the Falcons? There appears to be mutual interest. The 6-foot-4, 302-pound Williams met with the Falcons last week at his school and spoke highly of Falcons coach Dan Quinn, someone he was familiar with from the past.”"
