We continue our series, taking a look at each opponent on the Atlanta Falcons’ schedule in 2015. We move onto the Falcons’ third game — the Week 3 clash with the Dallas Cowboys.

We are very fortunate on the FanSided network to be joined with great team sites for every other NFL franchise, which gives us the opportunity to speak with writers for each Falcons’ opponent. I spoke with Steven Mullenax, editor of The Landry Hat. Mullenax gives us great insight into the Cowboys’ offseason, as well as his take on the Week 3 matchup.

The big question surrounding the Dallas Cowboys right now is whether they can perform as well as they did in 2014 sans DeMarco Murray. The NFL rushing champion will suit up in the rival colors of the Philadelphia Eagles, which must have hit Cowboys’ fans twice as hard.

Even so, Dallas still boasts arguably the best offensive line in the league so should still be able to find success on the ground. The key will be keeping their offense balanced and keeping the pressure off Tony Romo.

You can’t talk about the Dallas Cowboys without mentioning Dez Bryant. The superstar receiver will give the Falcons’ new-look pass defense a real test early in the season.

This game wraps up a three-game stretch of NFC East opponents to start the season. Atlanta couldn’t have asked for a much tougher start, but if they come through it with a win or two, they will be set up nicely for the remainder of the season.
