4) Desmond Trufant

Desmond Trufant has been on of the Atlanta Falcons’ lone bright spots in the past two seasons since he came into the league and find’s his way onto this list for that very reason. Trufant is quickly making a name for himself as one of the leagues premiere cover corners.

As a rookie, Trufant finished in a tie for ninth in pass deflections with 17, just five off the leagues best. He also added 70 combined tackles, which was one of the NFL’s highest for a cornerback. In 2014, Trufant wound up in a tie for 11th with 16 pass deflections and 61 combined tackles.

While his name isn’t thrown around with the likes of Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson, if he keeps up these fantastic numbers, he will be very soon.
