Brooks Reed was the Atlanta Falcons’ biggest offseason splash and is expected to be the one of the starting outside linebackers. Reed is coming over from the Houston Texans and had a solid career while with that squad. Reed was the forgotten man on a defense with big names such as J.J. Watt, Brian Cushing and Jadeveon Clowney.

Reed will serve as a predominant rusher from his standing position and will attack both the quarterback and running back, but can do a solid job in zone coverage when need be. Reed isn’t the best when playing in a man coverage scheme, so you can bet you won’t see much of that when he is in the ball game.

Along with his long blonde hair, Reed will bring a veteran presence to a very young defense and will serve as a key part of Dan Quinn’s scheme in 2015.
