Atlanta Falcons corner back Desmond Trufant has very quietly been one of the NFL’s best corner backs and is the best corner in the NFC South. Trufant is the younger brother of standout corner Marcus Trufant who played for the Seattle Seahawks for 10 years and is well on his way to being the leagues best lock-down corner. In his two years with the Falcons, Trufant has 131 tackles, 33 pass deflections and five interceptions.

Trufant’s 131 tackles and 33 pass deflections are far more than what Richard Sherman has over that time span. Trufant has yet to miss a game as a Falcon and will anchor the Falcons’ secondary for many years to come. Just remember, Trufant is one of the best in the game so don’t throw his way. He will make you look bad.
