The coaches

This is a contest between two young coaches—Dan Quinn and Jay Gruden. Quinn is riding high with his 100 percent record, leading the Atlanta Falcons to 4-0 in his first season as a head coach. Gruden is slowly rebuilding the Redskins after taking his first NFL head coach role in 2014.

Quinn is yet to taste defeat as leader of the Falcons, who have started brilliantly this season. Gruden on the other hand, has been reminded of the tough task in front of him in Washington with a 6-14 career record.

Gruden was apart of the Buccaneers coaching staff in the 2002 Super Bowl run, as he worked as an offensive assistant. Quinn was defensive coordinator for the Seahawks from 2013-14 as they reached consecutive Super Bowls, winning one of them.

Gruden is an offensive-first coach, and has spent the majority of his career as an offensive assistant or coordinator. Quinn is all about defense, and we are seeing the early signs of this in Atlanta.
