Record: 2-3
Position: 3rd
Week 6: BYE
The up-and-down season from rookie Jamies Winston is exactly what we expected. When he plays well, we get a possible glimpse into the future. When he’s bad, the team gets pushed around.
So far, Winston has led his team to victories against New Orleans and Jacksonville, with losses to Tennessee, Houston and Carolina. This is very much a season of transition for the Bucs, who hope they have finally found their franchise quarterback.
The Buccaneers are on bye this week sat with a 2-3 record. Considering they only won two games all of last year, it’s clear to see there is progress being made. They are still a long way off competing, but Tampa Bay could be a slip-up game for NFC South teams this season. Just ask the Saints.
