6. GREEN BAY PACKERS (6-1)

Last week: 3
Change: -3

The Green Bay Packers had their first true test on the road this season, and they were humiliated, exposing the issues on offense. When the receivers were pressed tightly, they found no way of gaining separation against the league’s best secondary.

The result? Aaron Rodgers throws for just 77 passing yards and the Packers slump to the first loss of the season. In the scheme of the season, losing to an AFC team on the road is the least impactful loss you can have, but there is a lot of work to be done in order to bounce back against the undefeated Panthers next week.

Davante Adams and Eddie Lacy could be the key moving forward. Adams is supposed to be the boundary receiver the Packers sorely miss in Jordy Nelson’s absence, and Eddie Lacy is the man to force defenders to stack the box. As it happened, the Packers’ most successful drive against the Broncos was when they were able to run the football.
