5. MINNESOTA VIKINGS (5-2)

Last week: 5
Change: None

It was a struggle, but the Minnesota Vikings came through another test to improve to 5-2, just one game off the Packers for the division lead. Adrian Peterson is so important to this team, and his 20 carries for 103 yards were crucial against the Bears.

Teddy Bridgewater needs to show more consistency to his game, and Stefon Diggs will help him do just that. When it mattered most, Bridgewater found Diggs on a short pass, and let the rookie receiver do the rest. He took it 40 yards into the end zone and looks like a true playmaker the Vikings desperately needed.

Minnesota has an intriguing matchup with the St. Louis Rams next week. Both teams have strong defenses, dominant run games and enough talent at quarterback and receiver. They are very similar teams, and it’s going to be fascinating to watch.
