Quarterbacks

Matt Ryan

If you look at just the numbers for Matt Ryan, you may be left confused as to what’s going on. For the year he has thrown for 2,702 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Each year, Ryan has one or two games where he is just off but so far he has three games already with at least two interceptions. Despite this, he has kept a 92.3 passing rating.

For those who watch the games religiously know it has to be either Ryan’s arm strength or his confidence to make 10 or 15-yard throws. As of late, he has been showing some unusual characteristics throughout the games. Staring down his receivers, forcing bad throws in tight windows and sometimes just not taking what the defense gives him.

Now this isn’t one of those “we need a new quarterback” articles, but some improvements must be made very soon.
