This week, the Falcons come up against one of the best defensive minds in football, Mike Zimmer. Zimmer is in the process of turning the Vikings from one of the worst teams in football to one of the best, and they enter this game on top of the NFC North.

Zimmer has a strong defensive background, dating all the way back to when he was Defensive Assistant at the University of Missouri in 1979. His no-nonsense approach has helped the Vikings defense become one of the league’s top units.

Dan Quinn is hoping to bring similar to results to Atlanta. His job of turning a team that won just 10 games over two seasons into a regular playoff contender is underway, but he’s entering the toughest period of his young head coaching career.

After a 5-0 start, Quinn’s Falcons has lost four out of its past five and sits at 6-4, desperately clinging onto a wild-card berth. How he is able to lift his team out of this struggle will carry the fate of this team.
