The quarterbacks

The Vikings offense will be lead by second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater was a first-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, and is continuing his development into a solid quarterback for Mike Zimmer’s team.

Bridgewater has been able to lean heavily on Adrian Peterson and the ground game this year, but he’s done what he’s needed to do very well. On the season, he’s completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 2,106 yards, eight touchdowns and six interceptions.

Matt Ryan leads the Falcons, but has been struggling somewhat in recent weeks. We’ve seen too many costly errors from Ryan, none greater than the pick-six to D’Qwell Jackson in last week’s loss to the Colts. Ryan, throwing the ball from his own end zone, picked out Jackson who happily accepted the gift and strolled in for the touchdown.

For Atlanta to rise out its slump, the play of Matty Ice must improve.
