31. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (3-8)

Last week: 31
Change: None

Nobody expected it to be this close, and the San Francisco 49ers can be disappointed they didn’t find a way to beat the Arizona Cardinals. That is, of course, unless you’re a 49ers fan hoping to lose to get a higher draft pick. In which case, it was the perfect outcome.

Blaine Gabbert threw for more yards and touchdowns than Carson Palmer, which is a stat that will frustrate many fantasy owners. But there wasn’t a whole lot for San Francisco to get excited about on the offensive side of the ball.

The 49ers have lost four of their past five games, and enter three road games in the space of four weeks. A trip to Chicago won’t be easy. An opportunity for the offense to head-to-head with Vic Fangio will be fun, though.
