All of a sudden, the Philadelphia Eagles have won two straight and are right back in the hunt to win the NFC East. The two victories seemed unlikely too, coming against the Patriots and Bills. The Eagles are now tied atop the division at 6-7.
This was deemed the LeSean McCoy revenge game, but it was the Eagles who had the last laugh. McCoy had 109 all-purpose yards, but his 74 on the ground wasn’t as dominant as he would have hoped. The former Eagle also failed to find the end zone.
Tight end Zach Ertz led the team in receiving with five catches for 98 yards, and rookie Nelson Agholor, who has disappointed in his debut campaign, made three receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles expect big things from Agholor, and will hope his performance in the win is the start of a strong end to the season.
The Eagles face another tough game this week up against the 11-2 Arizona Cardinals. After that, two division games with the Washington Redskins and New York Giants will determine who heads to the postseason. Everything is right in front of them.
