Why to watch

There isn’t much up for grabs in terms of playoffs for the Atlanta Falcons, but the players are competing for their jobs. Even Matt Ryan will feel his job isn’t secure, and he knows he needs to find some form before the season closes. Dan Quinn will be evaluating each player, and they know their future with the Falcons could be in doubt with poor performances.

More than that, the next three games are about pride. The Falcons have been embarrassingly bad at times, and it was capped off with the 38-0 humiliation at the hands of the Carolina Panthers last week. How can the team respond? Will they sink, or will they bounce back and win?

This is a test of character, and we will see what Quinn’s team is made of. The Jaguars present a different challenge than the Panthers. Their defense isn’t as strong, but the Jaguars have a ton of talent in their passing game. The trio of Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns has been tough to stop for defenses.

For Jacksonville, a division crown and home playoff game isn’t unrealistic. With three games to go, the Jags are a game behind the Colts and Texans, who play each other this week. They will need to beat the Falcons, but do so and they will believe.
