Kicking Into Redemption: Shayne Graham (2-2 PAT, 2-3 FG (Made: 30-39, 50+): 10.0 Points)

Shayne Graham continued filling in for Matt Bryant, who is on season ending IR, in a roller coaster of a game against Carolina. It was a roller coaster for both the Falcons and him.

Graham made both extra points following Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones touchdowns, but in between that failed to convert a field goal which would have given the birds a 10-7 lead (it was slightly blocked, but would have missed anyway).

Redemption’s name was Shayne Graham, however, as the kicker converted both of his other field goal attempts following the miss, including a career long 57 yarder to give the Falcons a touchdown lead with less than two minutes to play.

Graham could have had two more field goal opportunities to really push his point total through the roof, but didn’t get the chance because of a Julio Jones drop, and a botched snap, both plays keeping Atlanta out of FG range.

Analysis: Shayne Graham has had a nice year in relief of Matt Bryant, going 10-11 on field goals and 16-17 on all kicks since joining the Falcons. If he stays Atalanta’s kicker next year he should be drafted (late) because Atlanta’s offense should be able to consistently give its kicker opportunities. If he isn’t on the roster next year, however, then obviously don’t draft him
