Leonard Floyd is a player that not a lot of people are talking about especially when it comes to the Atlanta Falcons’ fan base. He has flown under the radar for the most part but is quietly expected to be a top 20 pick in this years’ draft.

Matt Milliner of Bleacher Report recently mocked Floyd to the Indianapolis Colts at pick 18 which means the Falcons will be right there in the mix to draft the Georgia native. Floyd has a lanky frame that will need some time to fill out but once he is able to do that, he will be a force in the NFL at outside linebacker.

You can’t teach speed but you can put on weight. It’s better to have speed rather than weight because putting on muscle in the weight room is something an NFL player can easily do. He might not be an exceptional NFL player in his first year in the league, but neither was Vic Beasley who dealt with the same issue.

If the Falcons are willing to draft him and wait a year for his true potential to come to fruition, then Floyd is the guy to go with if he is available.
