The guard position also needs an upgrade and Westerman is a definite fit. His 34 reps at the Combine on the bench press displayed his natural strength. However, what makes Westerman stand out is his ability to get out on the move with his athleticism and movements skills.

Westerman has a technician-type skill set and will be very valuable in an offensive scheme that requires linemen with agile and versatility. It’s time Atlanta adds a little youth to the offense line as they have proven over the years to go the well with veteran pickups. Westerman provides a solid skill set to go along with Atlanta’s pair of booked offensive tackles.
