Game: Dallas Cowboys (5-3) at Atlanta Falcons (4-4)

Breakdown: After a pretty bad road trip, the Atlanta Falcons are back home to host the Dallas Cowboys in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. These are two teams on complete opposite ends of the spectrum right now. Atlanta of course started out 3-0, but has since limped to a 1-3 record since then. They’re not out of the race yet, but 4-4 stings after such a hot start.

Dallas meanwhile has knocked off three opponents in a row, including an impressive win last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. This is in stark contrast to the start of their season where they were 2-3 out of the gates and looking like a mess of a franchise. Now Atlanta will try and end their streak, while hopefully beginning one of their own.

What makes this opponent seem so tough for them though is that Dallas is the kind of team that wears opposing defenses down with long drives. As for Atlanta, they struggle keeping the energy up on defense as games go on — especially when opponents manufacture several long drives.

Atlanta may once again come out strong on the Cowboys defense, which is susceptible to the pass. However, that running game of the Cowboys will eventually wear down the poor Falcons defense.

Prediction: Dallas 28, Atlanta 20
