Nick Caserio – New England Patriots Director of Player Personnel

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank could decide to go back to the Patriots well. He clearly enjoyed a great relationship with Dimitroff and Nick Caserio is another from the Bill Belichick tree, having been part of the organization since 2001.

Caserio has moved between roles with the Patriots but has been their director of player personnel since 2008. The Houston Texans are reportedly interested in Caserio and the Patriots had to file a tampering complaint in 2019 to scare them away.

That said, he recently renegotiated his contract to remove any barriers to future GM jobs, so this hiring cycle could be the one.

Caserio has a long-lasting relationship with Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and, with McDaniels likely to be in the head coach conversation again this offseason, the possibility of the two arriving as a package can’t be discounted.

With Arthur Blank naturally placing such an emphasis on winning, his attention will shift towards the Patriots at some point and Caserio should be at the top of that list.
