Atlanta Falcons: 7 free-agents to give a call this 2021 offseason
DB Mackensie Alexander
Mackensie Alexander was a highly-touted cornerback prospect in the 2016 NFL Draft, but he hasn’t lived up to that second-round hype as of yet.
That being said, he continues to show flashes.
Alexander has played outside at the cornerback spot and moved in to play nickel, as well, with the Minnesota Vikings before playing this last season with the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Falcons need help and depth in the defensive backfield and Alexander would be a cheap option. Is he the ‘flashy name’ that fans want? No, but he could at least provide better depth and would be an upgrade in the secondary.
