Similarity: Falcons and Eagles both have two talented tight ends

The Atlanta Falcons will be lining up in a lot of two-tight end formations this year, as they should. They have Hayden Hurst who was the featured tight end last year and the most talented tight end to come out of college in the history of the NFL.

The Eagles have a tight end in Zach Ertz who has consistently dominated defenses for years now and a tight end they drafted in the second round a few years ago. Both of those guys should be players Dean Pees circles in red marker for the Falcons to prioritize stopping.

Many were expecting to no longer see Ertz in a Philly uniform going into this season, but the Falcons have to, unfortunately, go up against him.

The matchup of these two teams will feature a lot of two-tight end personnel, as they have two of the best position groups at that position in the NFL.

In fact, Philadelphia’s biggest threat in the passing game is from their tight end position. It will be the focus for the defense of the Falcons.
