Matt Ryan never getting help from the Atlanta Falcons terrible defenses

Matt Ryan has never been a part of a team with a good defense during his time with the Falcons, that will likely not change if he does not switch teams.

The Falcons have not had a reliable defense for more than a decade, it is safe to say that this will probably not change anytime soon. The defense this year has been totally up and down, they are responsible for one of the two wins for the Falcons, but they are also responsible for more losses.

It is something that you must have to win a Super Bowl, notice how the one time that Matt Ryan was able to make the Super Bowl, the defense was playing pretty well. That is the case with any quarterback, if you cannot stop the opposing offense, you are not going to consistently win games.

Matt Ryan put up 28 points on the Patriots in the first half of the Super Bowl. The defense was playing terrific, but that changed down the stretch. We cannot put all of the blame on the defense, as they were forced to play lots of snaps, but they also gave up so many points in a short period of time.

The likelihood of Atlanta having a top-ten defense before Matt Ryan leaves is not very high. The trend will continue until the team proves otherwise, Matt should have no reason to expect anything different in the near future.
