7. Was Marquise Lee’s success a fluke or could he find his was back to 2017 in Atlanta?

Marquise Lee had a great season with the Jacksonville Jaguars before falling off of a cliff and out of the league altogether. Now a free agent Lee is one of the more interesting options on the list. Because of the fact he could be brought in with little noise or expectations and have a chance to have an impact.

In 2016 and 2017 Lee was over 700-receiving yards for the Jaguars and caught three touchdowns each season. Injuries and lack of production derailed the veteran receiver and he remains a free agent.

Atlanta could opt to give Lee a tryout and the last chance to prove he can still produce. A common theme with these receivers is the fact that many of them had good seasons in the past and suffered injuries or lack of production while playing with an underwhelming quarterback.

Lee isn’t any exception to this trend dealing with both of these issues. A tryout with the Falcons is something Atlanta should consider Lee has more proven production than any active player on their roster.

A sad fact for a team used to having Julio Jones or Roddy White lining up. Lee isn’t going to come anywhere close to producing at the level of these Falcons legends but perhaps he could outplay Gage or Sharpe and offer Ryan a consistent target.
