4. Tony Pollard is the running back the Atlanta Falcons should be scared of going into this matchup

This may come as a surprise to those who aren’t Cowboys fans but Pollard has been more dangerous than a certain Cowboys starting running back. To get ready for this matchup I went back and watched the last five Cowboys games again.

What stood out was the fact that Pollard is what hurts the opposing defense so badly. Ezekiel Elliot is having a bounce-back season but he gets four yards a carry and fight for every yard. There isn’t a lot of explosions or fear the Elliot is going to turn his carry into a touchdown.

Pollard hurts you so badly in the fact he comes onto the field and will burst for a nine or ten-yard gain that just kills your defense.  Elliot wears you down slowly while Pollard kills you in one quick blow.

Atlanta needs to limit Pollard and not allow him to have the explosive runs he has had when the Dallas offense is humming. Zeke is going to get his three or four yards and get his yardage. That alone will not beat Atlanta, what they cannot allow is the explosive plays from Pollard. If they can do that they will give Ryan a much better chance to outgun a loaded Dallas offense.
