3. Are Kelvin Benjamin or Dez Bryant still in football shape? A desperation move is in order for Atlanta

When you look at the receivers sitting in free agency there are very few that are memorable or recognizable. Most are depth pieces that are facing the end of their careers. When looking through the veterans still without jobs two names stand out.

Benjamin had a great rookie season and had over 1,000-receiving yards for a good Carolina Panthers team. Since that time he has struggled and wasn’t able to stick with any roster long-term.  In what would be a desperate move Atlanta could see if Benjamin is still in football shape and consider giving him one last chance.

Dez Bryant had sustained success and because of that is a better option than Benjamin, however, Bryant struggled with the Ravens and hasn’t had success since leaving the Cowboys.

For both of these players, it is unlikely Atlanta gets any true production. But at least having one or both in for a workout gives Atlanta a chance at finding help at the position. Could either player truly be worse than Atlanta’s current options? With the trade market passed and Atlanta’s receivers struggling even more all options have to be on the table for a team in desperate need of receivers.
