4. The Atlanta Falcons should give James Cook’s running mate Zamir White a glance considering their need at the position

Zamir White is the starting running back for the Georgia Bulldogs and has always been considered a promising prospect. However, having watched back the Bulldogs season there is one concern if you’re considering drafting White.

Too often Zamir seemed to get tripped up at the line or fall ahead for little to no gain on a play. Think first half of the season for Mike Davis for the Falcons. However, in fairness to White, there are also many plays that show him powering through contact or breaking a huge play flashing his speed.

White is an interesting option if he falls too late in the draft order. Atlanta doesn’t need to overvalue White just based on where he has played the hype that surrounded him among Georgia fans. He is an underwhelming player who has promise and could translate at the next level.

At the right spot in the draft, Atlanta should take a look at White but their main target should be the aforementioned James Cook. Zamir White is interesting as an afterthought that the Falcons should monitor in Monday’s game and the weeks to come.
