3. Jordan Davis

Jordan Davis showed at the combine what Georgia fans already were well aware of, Davis is a monster with unnatural speed for a man of his size. His draft stock is on the rise a rise which likely means Atlanta will be unable to draft Davis. Their best path to drafting Jordan Davis is trading down and acquiring another day two pick.

This has to be a very tempting scenario if it presents itself to Atlanta on draft day. After his performance at the combine, Atlanta should be comfortable taking Davis as high as 12th or 13th. His ability to disrupt the pocket and stop the run is elite and is going to be a great asset for any defense that chooses to draft him.

Davis and Grady Jarrett paired together should be enough to fix the Atlanta run defense and go a long way to providing a pass rush. If both the top edge rushers are off the board before Atlanta drafts trading down for Davis might be the next best thing. Atlanta’s recent history picking 8th while in need of a pass rusher isn’t all that great. Perhaps trading down and picking up a player that is a can’t miss prospect is the move for a franchise that needs a lot of help on defense.
